by admin May 7, 2010

It’s a longer story than perhaps you want to know, but for a brief time, our blog was actually somewhere else. Suffice to say, we are now back at http://www.yonked.com and our feedburner (to read us by RSS)  remains http://feeds.feedburner.com/Yonked If you want to read the rest of the story, read below:

The Fairway cometh!

by adam April 12, 2010

After months of waiting, the Fairway at Pelham Manor is opening on April 14! According to Google Maps, the store in Harlem at 125th is 10.9 miles away from us, while the Pelham store is 9.0 miles away. That 2 miles isn’t a huge deal, but there’s a $6.00 toll (Henry Hudson Bridge both ways) [...]

Today, we made 36 hard boiled eggs for Passover (we are going to a Passover seder tomorrow night and bringing eggs, and we hard-boiled the eggs for our seder on Tuesday night (plus a few extra for the chicken liver) Because we are who we are, we decided to use a little science and a [...]

by adam March 4, 2010

Everything for Aaron can be turned into a game, as can be seen in this video. I was just testing the new video capabilities of my Palm Pre, and decided to see what AA was up to in the pantry.

Home Alone

by adam February 19, 2010

Well, I’m home alone. Actually, I’m not that alone, I have a little bear with me. S is in Houston for the Mom 2.0 Summit, where I’m happy to say she’s moderating a panel. Go, wife! The downside is that apparently at these Mom events, there is no room for children. or husbands, for that [...]

A Bear that Snovels Show

by adam February 5, 2010

On Wednesday it snowed about an inch or so, and I had to clear it before it got all icy.  I took out the bear to do the work also, for his first official snow time. (We finally found Snow Boots!)  I wrapped him up in his oh so warm snow suit and took him [...]

The House, she has been painted

by adam December 22, 2009

You know, for a house blog, we’ve done a poor job of chronicling our house painting adventure. For the last 4 years we’ve been working on the inside of the house, and ignoring the outside.  Primarily because, in our neighborhood, it seemed wise to not shine too brightly.  But also, we needed to do our [...]

by adam December 9, 2009

Video I shot today on the changing table of a song I made up on the spot, and AA learned to contribute to it.  Shows off his impeccable rhythm, timing, and an infectious giggle.  Oh yes, and the word “Yes!”

Piano Playing Bear

by adam October 27, 2009

We’ve picked out AA’s Halloween costume for this year, and well, what else could he be but a bear? We originally had a dog costume that S had given to one of AA’s cousins, and now no longer fits, but it mysteriously disappeared.  Can’t find it anywhere.  Being as it was a dog, we can [...]

Just days after the first video of him tentatively walking, he’s gotten a LOT better! His mom to encourage him no doubt helps quite a bit. And he’s a fast learner!
