Some friends of ours invited us to Sunday Brunch at a place called Lejends, which was supposed to have a fabulous brunch in a Caribbean/Southern style. We’d been meaning to go, so we agree. We show up, and it turns out that we probably should have checked their website: Lejends has closed
It’s a bummer, as we were looking forward to it, and it was the one thing on that block that seemed like it was moving forward into the f uture of gentrified Yonkers and not the bad and seedy side of Yonkers. But apparently, it was ahead of its time, or wasn’t capitalized enough.
Since X20 doesn’t start brunch until noon, and the Pier Restaurant is reputed to have mediocre food– we ended up at Irish cafe Eileen’s, which is a very nice 24 hour Irish diner. Here’s the tripadvisor info It was quite good, and recommended.
If you know of a better Yonkers Sunday brunch place, please recommend one in the comments!
Thanks.
