Adam’s CD Repatriation Project/grab-bag

As many of you might know, I’m moving to Chicago and getting rid of lots of stuff, including CDs.  I have over 1000 cd’s, and I’m paring down to somewhere around 100, so it’s a heart wrenching and difficult thing for me.  I’ll have most of the music, but it’s still hard.

I’d like them to go to a good home– far better than where they might end up at the GoodWill or at my yard sale. And I don’t have the time or energy to go through all of these and sell them on Amazon.

To that end I’ve created this CD repatriation project.

Here’s how it works:

For $20, I will send a priority medium size box with 15-20 cd’s in it anywhere in the US (whatever I can fit in a medium flat rate box.)
The postage costs $12.35, and Paypal will take a bite, so I’m going to make less than 50 cents per CD.  But I’d rather the CD’s go to somebody who will appreciate them.  Like my friends.  Like you.

You get no guarantee of what CD’s you’ll get, but you can ask me for a category and I’ll see if I can fulfill it.  No guarantees. My collection is strong on Jazz/Blues/punk and eccentric music.  I’m not taking requests for individual artists.  As I said, No guarantees.

Unless your collection is super eclectic, you won’t have most of these CD’s.  This is a great way to get a bunch of great music for $20- the cost of 2 cd’s online.
